Cruizin' USA! (or maybe just Alaska)

I'm Back!!!

I have just spent the past week traped on a boat with nothing to do but eat everything in sight, sleep as long as I want, dance till morning light, and never lift a finger for anything that I wanted. It was torture!
Well I guess that I could use the gym and the pool to work off the pounds. (which I greatly took advantage of)
There was tons of liquer on board, I suspect that it was even in the food.

I found it astounding that the majority of people going on the cruize were more or less Conservative. It was a great group of people.

I loved the staff of the boat! As you probably guessed. All of the computers in the fleet crashed and we were all in Juneo trying to get all accounted for but none of the computers worked. They didn't pannic they all got out there and started a big party and entertained everyone. They really made the trip wonderful, most of the staff were from the Philipeans but a good portion were from Romania. But suprizingly, 10 out of 12 hosts on board were from Canada, and the US didn't even have a prominant representative! But we all got to have a wonderful culture blend, seeing things done not the American way but in the European way. I loved room service they could do wonders with towels like this picture of a rabit made out of towels.

I was disapointed with the selection of music that could be played. The Captain was from Sweden so I thought that we would have some awsome music. But not, the Captain hated Hard Rock and didn't want any music from the nintys to the presant. So I was stuck listening to 60's, 70's and 80's music all weak long. The whole cruize was aimed at that generation anyhow.

I couldn't belive how much drinking their was on the boat. It was so easy to get, every where was a bar! Everywhere I went a waiter came by and asked me if I wanted a drink. Even some of the hosts offered to buy me a drink!

Don't get me wrong! The cruize was fun. But it could have been better. For all of you scouts out their, my count is now to 215, some with phone numbers to acompany them. Though I would have gotten a lot more but most of the people on board though that my sister was my wife! I didn't dance with her much anymore after hearing that. Yes my sister was the first to swing dance with me but second was a girl that I met on the boat. She was really short and weighed about 90 pounds so she let me try some fancy throwing moves with her. That was the best part of the whole trip, dancing till you droped to a live band.

This is a picture of our sister ship, the Norwegan Star, it is a little smaller than our ship and was only running on one engine so it only visited half of the ports on its tour.

The ports were all a bunch of tourist traps. I did my best to avoid all of the Jewelry stores. (thousands of them in every town!) I went on a lot of hikes to get some good excersize.
